LR3 Ignition problem. I got home tonight to find my wife's 2006 LR3 in ghost land. I'm getting a Transmission Fault warning - limited gears available. Can't get it out of park. The car starts but when I stop and remove the key. The message is "key in ignition", which it isn't. Also can't lock the doors. Codes - coming up P0659, P0171 in 1 and 2.

Also depending upon OBD II device you have you can check instruments and even add and delete options as well as coding. I am responding for lack of presented. I have taught myself, yet am far from a pro. I understand a fault code shows.
TDV8 Transmission Fault: Limited Gears Available. So i was sitting in the car with the TV on last night, engine was not running, for about 30 minutes. When i started the car it didn't seem to struggle to start (i.e battery did not seem flat) but as soon as it had started it flashed up "Transmission Fault - Limited Gears Available".If a warning light illuminated this time, there should be a fault code logged. The trouble with the D3 is that it's so damn complicated that everything affects everything else - example being we had a vehicle in a year or so back where the suspension was flat, the actual problem was a dud ABS sensor but because the vehicle argued with itself about what the vehicle speed was, the suspension
