The mk7 has the water pump seperate. If the regular TSI is like the GTI, then the water pump is located at the gearbox end of the engine on the front of the engine, not at the timing end. Thanks, in the mean time I found out as well that there is only one sensor for temps, the one in the oil pan which I replaced (3F907660E). The VCDS belonged to a mechanic and was recent (19.6.2.0), but I have also been told that sometimes it reports false/inaccurate errors which have to be checked by other means/testers.
Tried using a vacuum pump oil extractor (MacNaught Lubemate) on my daughter's 90TSI 1.4, but could only pull out just over 3 litres before it was sucking in air. Tried pushing thinnest probe/hose (6mm) deeper and also jacking up rear and sides to get last litre or so - but with only a touch more coming out. MsON9c.
